This is a quickie.
Former employer is revisiting his past by restoring/rebuilding an AMX coupe.
One the upgrades will be rear disc brakes. He found a caliper bracket that is very close, but the holes are in the wrong places.
I turned a few plugs out of some stainless bar stock to a press fit. Then grit-blasted the caliper brackets to clean off paint and residue. Loctite sleeve retainer was applied to the plugs which were then pressed into place.
Each plug was trimmed flush, new hole locations set using transfer plugs set into the axle flange, and the new holes were then ‘drilled’ with a carbide spotting drill of appropriate diameter.
The other alignment tools for the project will be posted when I can find them…
